Vegan restaurants – Gusto Arsizio

Ciao a tutti!

If you are flying into Milan Malpensa Airport and looking for some vegan restaurants in the area you will not have to go far. We found one near Milan in the city of Busto Arsizio. “Gusto Arsizio”, which gusto actually refers to taste, is a great place to dine in or to take away your meal. There is a deli style atmosphere with anything from vegan lasagna made with a creamy soy milk and radicchio filling or vegan pizza, made with fresh tomato sauce.

It is pretty self explanatory. Everything is weighed by the kilo. Average price is 20Euro per kilo and the desserts and specialty dishes can be a bit more. But believe me, you get a lot of food! We were there and for 5 of us, all stuffed when we left, we spent around 90Euros and that includes drinks!

The seating inside is not super huge and it is best advised that if you are dining in to have a reservation or you may not find a seat, especially on weekends.

The place is very clean and staff is friendly. Hours are indicated as:

Monday from 6pm-11pm
Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30-4pm then reopens from 6pm-11pm
Sunday from 6:30-10pm

During the holday season they are closed.

Getting there can be kind of tricky since the street its on is one way. Address is Via Palestro 1b. Taking the main street of Via Quintino Sella and turing onto Via Palestro is the easiest route.

The owner plans on moving to a new location in the spring or fall of 2014, but the location will still be in Busto Arsizio and will not be far from the old location. The food will still be the same delicious vegan food!

  1. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog, always a pleasure to meet vegan bloggers and/or travelers! What a great find, I hope to visit and drop by the Milan Malpensa Airport someday and check that place out! And wow 20 euros per kilo?! Same here, some restaurants are closed in Paris for the holidays, lasting a week to few weeks. I remembered some are closed in Spain for a month during the summer… well, restaurant owners deserve a break!!! 🙂
